It's always a major dilemma - what will we feed our guests at our wedding$%:

There are so many things to consider such as dietary requirements of guests, kids menus, time of year and above all, how much will it cost!$%:

So, what kind of wedding breakfast will you have$%:

Useful posts:

Kate Winslet style Sausage :%$amp; Mash. This is ideal for a traditional Church wedding to take place in the cooler months. Brides who choose this option will be guaranteed a good reception from her guests as most people like sausages. It gives you the option of vegetarian sausages for some guests and smaller portions for kids.

Garden Barbecue style. This is a perfect wedding breakfast for those brides marrying in the summer months. A spit roast or barbecue will be the main dish and side dishes may include potatoes, rice, beans and salads. This lends itself well to a marquee style wedding or one to take place in the garden.

Fancy Canap:%$eacute;. If you are not looking for a sit down meal, why not have a stand up reception$%: Guests can be spoilt with delicious morsels of fish, meat and sushi, washed down by a glass of champagne and a piece of cake. This sort of event keeps the occasion casual and relatively inexpensive.

Chicken In A Basket. Fatly becoming a popular choice for wedding entertainment is a barn dance. This event - usually organized for Autumnal weather although not exclusively - goes down really well with most guests. Just listen out for the yee-haw's as your guests tuck into chicken wings, chunky chips and local fruit wines.

Roast. The simple roast is still an ever popular choice generally suited to those marrying at stately homes, hotels, golf clubs etc. Although it is nothing fancy, it always leaves guests feeling nourished, satisfied and is generally well liked by most.

Hot buffet. This usually consists of meat joints, hot plates of rice, potatoes, vegetables, salad bowls, French bread, pates and mixed desserts. This is a good all round option as guests can choose exactly what they want, including children. The only downside is that not all guests can eat at the same time and due to the need for choice, there is often wastage.

Lavish. The lavish meal is becoming more and more common at weddings. If expense is no object, this is the one for you. Spoil your guests with lobster, caviar, trout, truffles and rich chocolate cake. Add to the occasion with daringly different and unusual wedding favours such as a piece of jewellery or handmade gift in a personalised box.

Whatever you go for, don't agonize too much. The hope is that guests will be there to enjoy your special day and your wonderful union, not to be seeing you in debt for years just to put on an extravagant spread!
